Make the value withdrawable first

Polymarket International positions are outcome shares, not cash balances. To move their value outside the platform, sell the shares while trading is open or redeem winning shares after final resolution. Funds reserved for resting orders may also need to be released by cancelling those orders.

ActionWhat it doesResult
SellMatches position shares with buyers before resolutionpUSD proceeds, less any applicable trading fee
RedeemExchanges winning shares after final resolution1 pUSD per winning share; losing shares are worth 0
WithdrawSends available value through a supported routeThe selected asset reaches an outside address

See how to cash out a position if the account still shows shares rather than an available pUSD balance.

Polymarket withdrawal steps

  1. Review the portfolio for open positions and resting orders.
  2. Sell the intended position, or redeem winning shares after final resolution.
  3. Cancel orders whose reserved balance is no longer needed.
  4. Open Withdraw and select the intended destination asset and network.
  5. Enter the receiving address. If it belongs to an exchange, confirm that the exchange accepts that token on that network.
  6. Review the expected amount received, route minimum, gas, bridge or app costs, swap impact, and slippage where shown.
  7. Confirm, save the route or transaction identifier, and track it until the destination credits the asset.

Why “no platform fee” does not mean no cost

Polymarket says it does not add a direct platform withdrawal fee. The bridge quote can still contain several cost components.

Quote componentWhat it represents
Gas costNetwork execution required by the route
Bridge or app feeRouting-infrastructure charge
Fill or swap costConversion from pUSD to the destination asset
Price impactEffect of available conversion liquidity
Slippage tolerancePermitted difference between quoted and completed conversion
Minimum receivedThe route's protected lower output amount

A destination wallet, exchange, or later fiat off-ramp can charge separately. Read the final quote rather than relying on a general description of withdrawals as “free.”

Example: withdrawing to an exchange

Assume an exchange account currently accepts USDC on Base.

  1. Confirm in the exchange deposit screen that USDC on Base is enabled for that account.
  2. Select the corresponding supported route in Polymarket Withdraw.
  3. Copy the Base deposit address and check whether the exchange requires a memo or tag.
  4. Compare the expected received amount with the pUSD withdrawal amount after route costs.
  5. Confirm only after token, network, address, and any memo agree on both screens.

USDC on Ethereum would be a different route even though the asset name is the same. The receiving service's supported network is decisive.

How long does a Polymarket withdrawal take?

There is no universal completion time. A route can involve an onchain transaction, bridge processing, conversion, and destination-chain confirmations. Congestion or limited conversion liquidity can make one withdrawal slower or more expensive than another.

Gasless support also has boundaries. Polymarket's relayer sponsors gas for supported flows, while a direct externally owned account or unsupported API flow may need POL on Polygon unless it uses an eligible relayed transaction.

Troubleshooting a delayed or missing withdrawal

  1. Confirm that the withdrawal was submitted successfully rather than left at the quote stage.
  2. Inspect the bridge status and every transaction hash provided.
  3. Verify the destination token and network in the receiving wallet or exchange.
  4. Check whether the receiver is waiting for additional confirmations.
  5. For self-custody, confirm that the wallet displays the destination token contract.
  6. If the route is complete onchain but a custodian has not credited it, provide that service with the transaction identifier.

Confirmed blockchain transfers generally cannot be cancelled. An incorrect address, unsupported network, or missing destination requirement can cause permanent loss. Never disclose a seed phrase or private key while seeking help.

What this withdrawal process does not cover

  • It does not guarantee that a position can be sold at the displayed portfolio price.
  • It does not convert value to a bank balance; fiat conversion is a separate outside-provider step.
  • It does not describe Polymarket US funding or settlement.
  • It does not describe Perps margin, collateral, or funding withdrawals.

Compare routes with the deposit guide and read the fees guide to keep trading and transfer costs separate.

Focused answers

Frequently asked questions

Can I withdraw a Polymarket position directly?

No. A position consists of outcome shares. Sell before resolution or redeem a finalized winning position, then withdraw the available pUSD.

Does Polymarket withdraw USDC or pUSD?

The International account balance is pUSD. The withdrawal bridge can convert it to a supported destination asset and network chosen in the live flow.

Does Polymarket charge a withdrawal fee?

Polymarket says it adds no direct platform withdrawal fee. Gas, bridge, swap, price-impact, slippage, and outside-provider costs can still apply.

Why is my full portfolio value not withdrawable?

Some value may remain in open shares or be reserved for orders. A displayed portfolio price also does not guarantee that the whole position can sell there.

How long does a Polymarket withdrawal take?

Timing varies with the route, congestion, bridge processing, and the destination's confirmation policy. Track the route and transaction rather than relying on one fixed estimate.

Can I reverse a withdrawal to the wrong address?

Usually not. Confirmed onchain transfers are generally irreversible, so verify the token, network, address, and destination requirements before submission.

Bottom line

Withdraw only from an available balance

First turn shares into available pUSD through a sale or redemption. Then match the destination token and network, read the full bridge quote, verify the address, and keep the transaction details until the recipient credits the asset.
